--- Begin Message ---Package: src:isdnutils Severity: important PSA by Debian maintainer of isdnutils/isdnactivecards As already reported in several places, Linux kernel has dropped isdn4linux support in the development of the 5.3 version, to be released by October-ish. As that change ulimately renders the related userland packages useless - Debian kernel already disabled support years ago - there is no sensible reason to provide these packages in any future Debian releases. While feeling quite sad about that development, I do have to state Debian is not a muesum; and there is a point when it's about time to let go. Many people will argue for i4l that point is already far in the past. Therefore, I'll request removal of these two packages from testing and unstable once kernel 5.3 hits Debian testing, somewhen in the fourth quarter of 2019. Support in the already-released Debian versions, up to and including 10 (buster) will continue until the respective end-of-life. Christoph
