Steps to reproduce:

Create a file:

$ touch 1

Then run geeqie in the same directory, like

$ geeqie

Finally click right on the directory listing, select the option "New
directory..." and enter the name of the just created file, i.e. "1". On
accepting, geeqie terminates. When run in gdb, following error is shown:
