Package: monodevelop
Version: 0.5.1-2
Severity: important
Monodevelop crashes with this message after showing the splash screen:
lutya:~> monodevelop
Unhandled Exception: System.ExecutionEngineException: SIGILL
A full strace of the session can be found at
http://www.travishartwell.net/monodevelop.strace.txt
Interestingly, I can run it successfully as root as such:
lutya:~> xhost +; sudo su -c "monodevelop"
access control disabled, clients can connect from any host
(MonoDevelop:4811): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session
manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols
specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
Creating DefaultWorkbench
Parsing assembly: /usr/lib/mscorlib.dll
(MonoDevelop:4811): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_container_remove: assertion

failed
Writing
/root/.config/MonoDevelop/CodeCompletionData/mscorlib_1.0.5000.0_b77a5c561934e089.pidb
Seems to be a different bug from #285287, I don't have any files that
match that criteria in my user's home directory.
What else can I do to debug the problem? Other Mono and Gtk# apps work
fine.

The original bugreport about the SIGILL crash, was related to the Mono
runtime on the powerpc architecture, which is fixed for a long time.
If you experience a crash, please file a new bugreport, do not reopen
this one, except it's a SIGILL of course.
