--- Begin Message ---Package: xscreensaver Version: 4.10-1 Severity: normal xscreensaver comes on even if I've been scrolling the mouse. I've seen it happen with both mice (well, my touch pad and my usb mouse). I'm assuming this is a bug because as soon as the hack comes up, it works until I continue scrolling. I would expect the scroll to be either completely ignored, or considered activity at all times. I have only tried this while running icewm, so I don't know if the same behaviour is seen with other window managers. Anyhow, below are snippet from my .xscreensaver file and my XF86Config-4 Vance Lankhaar ---- BEGIN ~/.xscreensaver ---- timeout: 0:01:00 cycle: 0:10:00 lock: True lockTimeout: 0:05:00 passwdTimeout: 0:01:00 visualID: default installColormap: True verbose: False timestamp: True splash: False splashDuration: 0:00:05 demoCommand: xscreensaver-demo prefsCommand: xscreensaver-demo -prefs nice: 10 memoryLimit: 0 fade: True unfade: False fadeSeconds: 0:00:03 fadeTicks: 20 captureStderr: False ignoreUninstalledPrograms:False font: *-medium-r-*-140-*-m-* dpmsEnabled: True dpmsStandby: 2:00:00 dpmsSuspend: 2:00:00 dpmsOff: 4:00:00 grabDesktopImages: True grabVideoFrames: False chooseRandomImages: False imageDirectory: ---- END ~/.xscreensaver ---- ---- BEGIN /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 ---- Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Vance Configured Mouse" Driver "synaptics" Option "CorePointer" Option "Device" "/dev/psaux" Option "Edges" "1900 5400 1800 3900" Option "Finger" "25 30" Option "MaxTapTime" "20" Option "MaxTapMove" "220" Option "VertScrollDelta" "100" Option "MinSpeed" "0.02" Option "MaxSpeed" "0.18" Option "AccelFactor" "0.0010" Option "Protocol" "PS/2" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Generic Mouse" Driver "mouse" Option "SendCoreEvents" "true" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Protocol" "ImPS/2" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection ---- END /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 ---- -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux debian 2.4.21-ck3-vaio-vance #1 Mon Jul 14 11:36:46 MST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages xscreensaver depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.2.4-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.1-17 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libglade2-0 2.0.1-3 Library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.2.2-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.2.2-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libjpeg62 6b-8 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpam0g 0.76-13 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libpango1.0-0 1.2.3-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libxml2 2.5.7-1 GNOME XML library ii xlibs 4.2.1-9 X Window System client libraries ii zlib1g 1:1.1.4-14 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information
