Dear Maintainer,
During the backport of kdenlive to buster, I hit a couple of problems
which may be of your interest:
1. kdenlive Build-Depends on libmlt-dev (>= 6.10.0), but trying to build
with 6.12 in buster gives a message that at least 6.18 is required.
Thus I recommend bumping the version constraints like
libmlt-dev (>= 6.18.0), libmlt++-dev (>= 6.18.0).
2. the final package should (probably) depend on kde-style-breeze,
otherwise the colors are off, making the icons invisible. The
current Recommends: breeze-icon-theme is inadequate, I recommend
Depends: kde-style-breeze.
Please note that I've got no familiarity with the KDE desktop, I just
describe what helped for me.
Beyond the above, removing libkf5doctools-dev from Build-Depends lets
the package build (otherwise the build failed due to missing entities)
with backported mlt and extra-cmake-modules and librttr from sid. It
still reports lots of
WARNING : Fails to parse "avdeinterlace"
WARNING : Fails to parse "swscale"
"avfilter.abench" is blacklisted
"avfilter.acompressor" is blacklisted
on startup but seems usable.
