Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
I have installed several VM inside a bigger host with two networks connecting
to the internet. Inside, they are 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24
Several times a day, unrelated to CPU load or to network load, one of the
interfaces just stops working correctly and loses connectivity with router 1:

>From inside the GUEST:
Ping the router, then the HOST interface in the network 1:

root@cygnus:~# ping 192.168.1.1
PING 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- 192.168.1.1 ping statistics ---
23 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 22175ms

root@cygnus:~# ping 192.168.1.25
PING 192.168.1.25 (192.168.1.25) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 192.168.1.25: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.070 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.25: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.117 ms
^C
--- 192.168.1.25 ping statistics ---
2 packets transmitted, 2 received, 0% packet loss, time 999ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.070/0.093/0.117/0.025 ms

I could do this experiment because both HOST and GUEST have a card in network 2.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
Rebooting the GUEST always resolves the issue, for a few hours

This is an old bugreport filed against old version of qemu and/or kernel,
hopefully the issue in question has been fixed long ago, so closing this
bugreport now. If the issue is still relevant today with current version
of qemu and kernel, please reopen this bugreport.

Thanks,

/mjt
