fstab is the config file for where file systems are mounted. The code in
checkroot.sh is a good way to parse fstab. It should be trivial for anyone
to implement this. It should however be devfsd that parses fstab not some
init script.

devfs has been deprecated for a long time and devfsd has been removed
from Debian unstable now. Please move to udev.
