Package: burp
Version: 2.2.18-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

the current burp package *does* contain a sysvinit script (as reported in
the changelog for v2.2.18-2), but misses the default file that's
referenced by the sysvinit script:

$ sudo invoke-rc.d burp status
burp disabled; edit /etc/default/burp
$ dpkg -l burp | grep ^ii
ii  burp           2.2.18-2     amd64        Simple cross-platform network
BackUp and Restore Program
$ dpkg -L burp | grep default || echo "NOT PRESENT"
NOT PRESENT

I would suggest to reintroduce the default file as it was in previous
versions of the package:

--8<--
# Defaults for burp initscript
# sourced by /etc/init.d/burp
# installed at /etc/default/burp by the maintainer scripts

#
# This is a POSIX shell fragment
#

RUN=no

# Additional options that are passed to the Daemon.
DAEMON_ARGS="-c /etc/burp/burp-server.conf"
--8<--

I also suggest adding a comment before the RUN= assignement along the line of:
# Change to RUN=yes in order to run the burp server

Thanks,
Gian Piero.
