Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
         apt-get dist-upgrade to jessie on 2014-10-01

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
         Attempted several kernel rebuilds,
tried with Intel KMS on, or off - not effective
           tred kernel versions 3.12, 3.16
(My inkling is a kernel issue, but still may be related to something
userland)

   * What was the outcome of this action?
Xv is not working after update
      $ xvinfo
      X-Video Extension version 2.2
      screen #0
       no adaptors present

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
I expeded that Xv support would work out of the box

Sorry, this bug is about a very old release, and we can only assume
that things have improved in the meantime. If not, please file a new
bug against the package causing the problem in the current release
(probably the xorg intel driver or the kernel package).

Chris
