has caused the Debian Bug report #968680,
regarding erlang-p1-xmpp: When I upgraded from Buster to Sid I had ejabberd
installed on version 18.06 and it was upgraded to 20.07. The erlang-p1-xmpp is
a dependency to ejabberd but was not upgraded. I had to manually download the
deb package and install it. root@collaboration:~/download# dpkg -i
erlang-p1-xmpp_1.4.9-1_amd64.deb dpkg: warning: downgrading erlang-p1-xmpp from
1:1.2.8-0.1~afa100 to 1.4.9-1 (Reading database ... 105425 files and

(1:1.2.8-0.1~afa100) ... Setting up erlang-p1-xmpp (1.4.9-1) ...
to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the

Hi,

you have obviously mixed packages from Debian and from apt.jabber.at,
which is completely unsupported, dangerous and your own fault.

I am not surprised you ran into problems.

The packages from jabber.at have a higher epoch, which is what caused
your "downgrading confusion".

See
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-controlfields.html#version
for more details about the epoch in Debian package versions.

You should replace all jabber.at packages (those with ~afa100 in the
Version) with the proper ones from Debian's buster-backports.

Best wishes
