Package: gnome-terminal
Version: 2.14.0-1
Severity: normal

I have gnome-terminal maximized.

Whenever opening a new tag, if I launch a curses application inside it, it
won't use the full terminal size but only less than the upper half.

If I issue the reset command in bash first, everything is fine and the
application uses the full size.

This happens for instance on dselect or vi.

De-maximizing gnome-terminal and re-maximizing it also solves the problem, as
an alternative to reset.

I suspect it's the new tab which aren't opened with proper terminal size.

This used to work until a recent update of testing.

Thanks for your help.

Hi all,

This bug is fixed in the above version of libvte4 which just got
uploaded. I've verified both less and mutt are now behaving correctly
in new tabs, so I'm closing these bugs :) Please re-open if you still
experience the problem after upgrading.

Regards,

   Vince
