I use gnome-terminal with five more tags , then in the fifth tag's shell the
applications which use libncures display ugly and don't work properly
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. start gnome-terminal
2. start five more tags
3. start some applications such as vim in fifth tag's shell
BTW:if I run reset in the fifth tag shell or minsize the window and maxsize it again, then everything works well
I am using debian GUN/Linux 2.6.15, libncurses5 5.5-1.1, vim 1:6.4-007+1, libc6 2.3.6-7

Hi all,
This bug is fixed in the above version of libvte4 which just got
uploaded. I've verified both less and mutt are now behaving correctly
in new tabs, so I'm closing these bugs :) Please re-open if you still
experience the problem after upgrading.
