Package: xarclock
Version: 1.0-11.1
I'm attaching a .desktop file for xarclock. xarclock does not come with an icon
(nor did a quick
google search turn one up), so instead of leaving the "Icon" field blank, I
used "xarclock", just
in case an icon is added later. I checked and it validates OK with
desktop-file-validate. Thanks.

I take it back. I don't know why I didn't see it earlier, but there
certainly is a proper menu entry for xarclock, so the menu file is
working properly. If you want a .desktop file generated on your
system (for pretty much any Debian packages), you must install the
Debian "menu" package. If you have "menu" installed, and a .desktop
file is still not being generated, that indicates a bug in the package
which uses the .desktop files.
I'm closing this bug report. But feel free to email me if you have
further questions.
