I run a command via sudo from cron every minute, and every minute this gets logged into syslog. I can disable logging altogether, but I really just want t inhibit it for this rule. I am not sure about this, but since what you want can be done in sudo post-lenny (hence closing with the version in jessie), the direct issue seems to be solved for me. I agree that the notation is somewhat clumsy, but since Debian is unlikely to invent and implement its own configuration file options and I can only make a weak point on the upstream mailing lists, your wishlist item is most likely to be fulfilled if you talk to upstream yourself. I am sure that you can do that ;-) Greetings Marc -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc Haber | "I don't trust Computers.
