Package: gpsd
Version: 3.20 (revision 3.20)

error text:
gpsd:ERROR: not authorized for Ntrip stream caster.dyndns.org/NOT
gpsd:ERROR: can't extrat Ntrip stream from (username redacted):(password
redacted)
gpsd:ERROR: ntrip://(username):(password): device activation failed.
gpsd:ERROR: ntrip://(username):(password): activation failed, freeing device.

Reproduction:
provide gpsd with an ntrip server which requires a username:password@... to be
defined and it will fail to connect, while also erroneously reporting the
device as being the username and password, not the server.

I can connect to the same ntrip server using
https://github.com/nunojpg/ntripclient as well as two commercial software
packages, so the error appears to be in how gpsd is interpreting the connection
string.

that should be fixed in 3.22. You can try it in testing/unstable, but I'm
also preparing a backport, but that will take some time.

If its not fixed in 3.22, please reopen this bug report.

Thanks,

Bernd
