Package: bugs.debian.org
Version: N/A; reported 2001-01-28
Severity: normal
(Or possibly there's just an ordering problem in the way the bugs are
selected for the HTML report.)
Consider Bug #75641 (package cron). I sent a message to 75641-done
on Thu, 26 Oct 2000 16:19:20 UTC, and indeed it was marked as done.
However, on 28 Oct 2000 00:48:12, Wichert Akkerman sent a message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with "severity 75641 fixed" (he hadn't yet seen
that the bug was closed, and was being helpful). Later on, another
developer also set the severity to fixed, due to an earlier typo in an
attempt to control another bug.
In any case, the bug is still showing up as "fixed" rather than
closed. Neither of the severity changes should have been processed after
the bug was closed. While it is perfectly acceptable to add info to a
closed bug, the only status change that should be processed is "reopen".
Thanks,
Steve

Only the most ancient bugs have severity: fixed anymore, and
converting them really isn't worth anyone's time.
Closing this bug.
