Comment: Hello,
I recently submitted a request to have my mirror site listed on the Canada
list, and it was there for a couple of days. But it has recently been removed.
Was there a problem with the site? I have changed my ftpsync to use a different
mirror to sync from as I thought that might be the problem. Please advise.
Thanks!

Hi Mike!

Your mirror is still in our list, cf.

https://salsa.debian.org/mirror-team/masterlist/-/blob/master/Mirrors.masterlist.in

However, due to an issue on Saturday, its score on
 https://mirror-master.debian.org/status/mirror-info/mirror.estone.ca.html
is currently below 50. It appears its coming back to that soon, and
then it will automatically listed on the website again.

I'm not quite sure what the issue on Saturday was. It might be related
to the Debian stable update, but I'm unsure.

You can also contact us at Debian Mirror Team <[email protected]>.

Out of interest, how do you run ftpsync? Out of cron? If so, could you
give the ftpsync-cron wrapper a try? When it runs, it checks your
upstream mirrors tracefile, and only if it got an update, will it
trigger the full ftpsync run. As such, it can be run quite often, say
every 30 minutes (maybe with a random sleep before that). If you try
it, let us know how it goes, so far we have not had much feedback on the
script.

Cheers,
