OK. So, the problem occurs on raspbian with the package available from apt.
I tried it with detox v1.4.3 and v2.0.0-beta1 on raspbian 10 on armv7l, same
problem.
I tried it with detox v1.4.3 and v2.0.0-beta1 on ubuntu 20.04 on x86_64, and
it works.
I tried it with detox v1.4.3 and v2.0.0-beta1 on debian 10 on x86_64, and it
works.
The problem is specific to raspbian 10 and/or the armv7l chipset. The link

Which says autoconf can be configured to fix this.
