initramfs stage it spills:
/usr/share/mdadm/mkconf: 98: SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH: parameter not set
This is caused by:
if [ -z $SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH ]; then
.. while the script is running under 'set -u'.
