Re: the issue you raise in #872836 . Let's assume that bug is closed today.
If a user is using stretch-backports then that user currently has
4.9.1-1~bpo9+1. When I upload a btrfs-progs bpo (>= 4.12)--let's
assume a week from today--then their automated backup strategy will
fail, because btrbk-0.24.0-1 in stretch does not support btrfs-progs
(>= 4.12).
To prevent this, please provide a bpo of btrbk-0.25.1.
Additionally, do you know if btrbk-0.25.1 still supports btrfs-progs
(<= 4.11.1), or if the changes in 0.25.1 necessitate (>= 4.12)? It
might be necessary to change btrbk's Requires to (>= 4.12) to solve
the following case:
User uses btrfs-progs-4.7.3-1 from stretch
User installs btrbk-0.25.1 bpo
Btrbk-0.25-1 fails

Oh well, it looks like this was never resolved, and uploads for
stretch-backports have been closed for ages, so I'm closing this
no-longer-relevant bug.
