Package: sssd
Version: 2.5.2-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading from 2.4.1-2 to 2.5.2-2 sssd.service fails to start.

The log reports the following:

Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee systemd[1]: Starting System Security Services Daemon...
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee sssd[5856]: Starting with debug level = 0x0070
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee sssd[5856]: Starting up
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee sssd[5856]: Unable to start a D-Bus server at
unix:path=/var/lib/sss/pipes/private/sbus-monitor
[org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied]: Failed to bind socket
"/var/lib/sss/pipes/private/sbus-monitor": Permission denied
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee sssd[5856]: dbus[5856]: arguments to
dbus_server_get_address() were incorrect, assertion "server != NULL" failed in
file ../../../dbus/dbus-server.c line 835.
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee sssd[5856]: This is normally a bug in some application
using the D-Bus library.
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee sssd[5856]: D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable
to print a backtrace
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee systemd[1]: sssd.service: Main process exited,
code=killed, status=6/ABRT
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee systemd[1]: sssd.service: Failed with result 'signal'.
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee systemd[1]: Failed to start System Security Services
Daemon.
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee systemd[1]: sssd.service: Scheduled restart job, restart
counter is at 2.
Sep 21 10:07:22 kaylee systemd[1]: Stopped System Security Services Daemon.

Downgrading to 2.4.1-2 works (while clearing the caches), and upgrading
to 2.5.2-2 still shows the problem.

The redhat solution 344443 suggested starting sssd interactively (sssd -i -d7)
to
see if the problem present itself there, which results in the sssd
starting, but still not working, but I now have no idea at what point it
is failing.

Best regards,
Andre
