Package: par2
Version: 0.4-7
Severity: wishlist

QuickPAR, the dominant win32 par2 utility, supports
creation of 'split files'.

Basically, if a single file is to be protected it
splits it into a number of equal parts with .001,
..002, etc. suffixes. Conversely it will automatically
consider and join such files during recovery.

A workaround is something like
'cat filename.0?? > filename && par2 v filename.par2'
but this is getting tedious as this style becomes
more prevalent on usenet.

Could such functionality be added to par2?

Thanks,

C.
