Package: spamassassin
Version: 3.1.0a-2
Severity: important

I run a farm of about 10 spamd systems that until recently shared a
mysql server for the baysian and whitelist databases.

I recently went around my network doing apt-get update/upgrade. When I
was done, my spamd network stopped processing spam in a timely fashion.

So far, my workaround has been to turn off mysql. Unfortunantly, that
means we're all getting more spam.

Most of my systems track sid and a couple track sarge. The mysql system
tracks sid. Mysql got upgraded from 4.x to 5.x when I did the apt-get
update/upgrade on that system.

I don't know if this performance problem comes from changes to
spamassassin or changes to mysql. I wish I knew more so that I could
make a more useful report. I'm hoping someone else has run into this
problem and maybe knows a bit more.
