Upgrading to newer version of src:julia leads to a million embedded artifacts that requires heavy patchword. Nobody has stepped forward and take over this package. The package is not in bad shape. And should not be kept in debian. For future contributors who want to bring this back ... please first investigate how many external files are needed during the build through download / srccache.
