Package: ulogd-mysql
Version: 1.23-8
Severity: wishlist
If ulogd is started and can't establish a connection with MySQL (So far,
this response is observed for bad credentials, and when mysql-client wasn't
installed, although the last may not be relevent), ulogd silently segfaults
leaving only a single line in the syslog and few hints in
/var/log/ulogd/ulogd.log. None of the messages it leaves anywhere indicate
what the problem is.
It would be helpful if ulogd left some helpful messages somewhere to assist
with debugging.

I have been unable to reproduce this with 1.23-8 and more recent
versions of ulogd1. In any case, it has since been superseded by
ulogd2, and there have been no reports of similar problems with that, so
I'm going to close the bug.
