(I left the house during the install for multiple hours.) Method: I downloaded the CD ISO and booted off of that, and did a network install off of the first mirror site that popped up for the US Eastern Time Zone. No proxies. With luck, you'll be able o help me out with it... I have no audio output. When I boot into a KDE shell, I get an error: Error while initializing the sound driver: device /dev/dsp can't be opened (Permission denied) I have had sound working correctly on this system in the past (with many different flavours of linux). I'm using a Cirrus Logic |Crystal cs4281 PCI audio controller. (Built into the motherboard.) I was also dissapointed to find the video driver wasn't explicitly supported (but I do have a kludge that works). I"m using a 3d Rago Pro AGP 1x/2x. Some linuxes (SuSE) support it, and some don't. *Shrug* Assuming I can get sound on this system, there are two other computers I want to try sarge out on... Doug Krick
