Package: gconf2
Version: 2.28.1-6
Severity: important

Hi

I can reproduce this in headless pbuilder environment (started from
cron), but it seems to work fine when pbuilder (and thus gconf2
postinstall) runs in terminal.

The postinstall script hangs at executing:

    /usr/bin/python /usr/sbin/gconf-schemas --register-all --no-signal

The process seems to be reading some file descriptor, strace only
repeats:

    read(5, "", 16) = 0
    read(5, "", 16) = 0
    read(5, "", 16) = 0

The standard output/error does not show any problems:

    Setting up gconf2 (2.28.1-6) ...
    update-alternatives: using /usr/bin/gconftool-2 to provide
/usr/bin/gconftool (gconftool) in auto mode.

I have no idea what else might be needed to debug this, but I'll try to
provide any required information.
