Hi there!
As the title suggests, there is no way to configure Debian Sensible Browser to
open a link in a new tab, since in System -> Preferred Applications -> Web
Browser options are grayed out.
I do not think there is a possible solution to this bug, given that at least
the browsers installed in the standard desktop (Epiphany and Iceweasel) use
different switches for opening links in new tab (--new-tab and -new-tab,
respectively).
I assume "Debian Sensible Browser" means using sensible-browser, thus maybe
should this bug re-assigned to sensible-utils (which ships sensible-browser)?
Or, better, add a --new-tab option to xdg-open and switch to it (and as well
re-assign this bug to xdg-utils)?
