Package: makedev
Version: 2.3.1-53
Severity: normal

Hello,

I am running kernel 2.4.6 and discovered a "cosmetical" problem running
MAKEDEV.

root@zombie:/dev> ./MAKEDEV sg
./MAKEDEV: major_ircomm%d=161: command not found

I contacted the maintainer of the package where the message apperared
first, and now we see that that the reason are new entries (without a
slash) in /proc/devices (s.below) that are not parsed correctly by
makedev. If this is a bug in kernel, feel free to forward to the
kernel-whatever maintainers.
