The French translation of the date(1) manpage is not very usable when
it comes to the `-I` option, as the option's accepted arguments are
translated, whereas `date` itself only accepts specific untranslated
values.

The manual reads:

which suggets that e.g. "secondes" or "nanosecondes" are acceptable
arguments, but they are not: if you check the C version (man -LC date)
you'll see that those should actually be spelled "seconds" (easy
enough) and "ns" (a lot harder to infer).

The translation should probably rather read something like:
