Dear Maintainer,

tl;dr: There's a minor typo in the German translation. While trying to submit a
patch for that, I noticed that bash fails the patch test. [3]

Here's the typo:

  $ echo $LANG
  de_DE.utf8
  $ help command
  command: command [-pVv] Kommando [Argument ...]
  Führt ein einfaches Kommando aus oder zeigt Informationen über Kommandos
an.
  Führt das Kommando mit den angegebeneb Argumenten aus, ohne
  [... Snip ...]

The typo is the non-word "angegebeneb", which should have been the word
"angegebenen".

So I tried to "apt-get source bash". It contains the translations, but says it
is actually managed by lauchpad's German translation team. Lauchpad itself
looks surprised by this. [0]

The Bazaar repo [1] doesn't contain any translations. Huh? Doesn't that mean
that the source package is incomplete?

The GNU Savannah page [2] says:
    Anonymous clone:
    git clone git://git.savannah.gnu.org/bash.git
  That would be great, but this doesn't actually allow anonymous clones. Also,
all mailing lists (including the help and support mailing list) seem to reject
mails from unknown senders, so I can't ask there for help. Thus, I have to go
to the gitweb page and use the link displayed there to 'git clone'. Yay. But
this fails the patch test [3]. Can I ask you to talk to them about this?

The GNU Savannah repository [4] seems to consist of snapshots automatedly
gathered from a different repository, without any explanation where to find the
actual sources. I feel like going down a rabbit hole.

I tried using bashbug, but it appears that the mail never got sent to "bug-
b...@gnu.org,b...@packages.debian.org", although it sent it would.

I give up. Someone else can fix that typo.

Cheers,
Ben Wiederhake

The type has been fixed in bash 5.1.
