Dear Maintainer,

I might miss understand something.

I tried to close a bug but also tried to be "quiet". So I use
"[email protected]" and send this one line

    close 990343 1.4.2

I got back an email with subject "Message with no Package: tag cannot be
processed! ()" and the beginning body "Your message didn't have a Package:".

>From my perspective as a user the bug number should be enough for the system to
determine the related package. There is no need to specify the package.
The same command worked well in the past when using "[email protected]"
also without specifying a package name.

Kind

If you want to send control commands, either mail to control@... or
to the bug address and prepend "Control:" to the commands. This is
documented here:

https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control

Mailing to quiet@ is to my knowledge not really a supported thing.
You can mail to <bugnumber>-quiet@, but then you need the format
with "Control:" prepended.

Hope this clears it up.

Chris
