Package: snort
Version: 2.1.1-1
Severity: minor

The current setup at /etc/cron.daily/5snort creates too much mail.
I propose that the the configuration is not made directly to
/etc/cron.daily/ but the script to create the report is moved to
/etc/snort/snort.cronreport and then a symlink is made to
/etc/cron.daily/5snort

This way users that want reports less ofter, like weekly or
biweekly can remove the /etc/cron.daily/5snort symlink and
add their own preference.

This would be cleaner that now moving the file physically.
