Package: libpam0t64

When trying to install the MATE desktop environment, apt complains
about missing packages:

   root@riskie:~# apt install mate-desktop-environment
   Reading package lists... Done
   Building dependency tree... Done
   Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mate-desktop-environment-core : Depends: gvfs-backends but it is not
installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
   root@riskie:~# apt install gvfs-backends

The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    samba-libs : Depends: libpam0t64 (>= 0.99.7.1) but it is not installable

Package libpam0t64 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
     libpam0g

E: Package 'libpam0t64' has no installation candidate
   root@riskie:~#

I suggest that the missing package is added or that the dependencies
are corrected.
Additional information about my system:

   root@riskie:~# uname -a
   Linux riskie 6.6.15-powerpc64 #1 SMP Debian 6.6.15-2 (2024-02-04) ppc64
GNU/Linux

Best Regards,
Luc

version 1.5.3-5

This was a temporary issue when we were trying to include libpam in the
time_t transition.
The packages have been cleaned up and everything should be back to
normal by now.
