When I copy (ctrl-C) that "ö", I can paste (ctrl-V) it to the remote mashine. I found nothing where I could set the right behaviour. So I made some experiments with the remote keyboard, in settings -> region I selected "Deutsch". Then I had a translation from ";" to "ö". This is quite right, when you have an english labeled keyboard (;) with german layout (ö). When I use the remote mashine local, then I can get the special german cahr "ö".
