Package: mc
Version: 1:4.6.0-4.6.1-pre1-3
Severity: normal

Issue the following commands:
----------------------------------------
mkdir /tmp/foo; cd /tmp/foo
>a; ln -s a b
tar cvzf foo.tgz *
----------------------------------------

Now, trying to open the tarball by pressing 'Enter' in MC results in the
following:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(process:6669): GLib-CRITICAL **: file gstrfuncs.c: line 232 (g_strconcat):
assertion `string1 != NULL' failed
                   Segmentation fault
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Relevant stanza in "~/.mc/bindings":

---------------------------------------------------------------
regex/\.t([gp]?z|ar\.g?[zZ])$
        Open=%cd %p#utar
        View=%view{ascii} gzip -dc %f 2>/dev/null | tar tvvf -
        Extract=gzip -dc %f 2>/dev/null | tar xf -
        Icon=compressed.xpm
---------------------------------------------------------------

Commenting out the above stanza stops MC from crashing.
