Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

A change of version in package 7zip in Testing, more than a year ago, made
Engrampa unusable for password protected compressed files

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I wrote to Engrampa developers and the bug was fixed in source code in
february 2024.

The issue in source code was this:
https://github.com/mate-desktop/engrampa/issues/510

     And the fix was this:
https://github.com/mate-desktop/engrampa/pull/513/commits

   * What was the outcome of this action?

I compiled Engrampa from source code with the fix, and the issue was
solved, but Engrampa packagers in Debian never updated the package. So all Mate
users in Debian Testing had to use another archivers like xarchive to deal with
password protected compressed files.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

After more than one year, and now that Debian Testing is freezing to a new
stable, you should update package Engrampa 1.26 with the old fix.
