Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Update of qemu-system to version qemu-system:amd64
1:7.2+dfsg-7+deb12u14

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

After a reboot Gnome-Boxen wont start my debian-VMs in Boxen, Alma-
Linux VMs are still working

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Error log was produced and the debian VMs did not start up

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Any VM should start as before the update

Hi,

the error log is not very helpfull:

[...]
2025-07-29 18:08:42.899+0000: shutting down, reason=failed
[...]

But anyway, the reason for the error is my own mistake. I had a qemu Update at
the same time and accidentally addressed the error to the update.

The bug can be closed! Sorry for the inconvinience ...

Closing the bug report.

Thank you for the update!
