While looking at GNOME-team packages that haven't been uploaded for a
long time, I noticed that libgnomekbd was most recently uploaded before
Debian 12, and is not actually used by GNOME. (It's also dead upstream,
see the separate bug that I reported.)

Is this library still actively used? If yes, it would be great if a
developer who uses dependent packages could test and upload it, so that
we have positive evidence that it still worked during the trixie cycle.
Or if not, we should remove it.

Looking at reverse (build-)dependencies with dak on coccia, it seems like
the remaining users of libgnomekbd are gnome-screensaver and several
Cinnamon packages.

gnome-screensaver, in turn, seems to be depended on by budgie-desktop
(which surprises me, because I thought Budgie had an integrated screen lock
like GNOME and Cinnamon do, but perhaps I'm wrong to think that).

I have made some routine/janitorial changes in
https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/libgnomekbd, but I do not intend to
upload them since I have no good way to test them. When uploading,
please keep or revert those changes, whichever seems most appropriate
to the uploader.

Thanks,
    smcv
