Allow me to propose a third alternative to a message box that won't
allow me to copy and paste its contents here. I must type it in.
The message is
You have chosen to open xxxx which is a: (e.g.,)
text/wiki from http:...
what should Firefox do with this file?
o Open with less (default) [not too smooth, by the way]
o Save to disk ...
Well my third alternative which I wish to propose is
o open as a text file (.txt) in the (current, other) (window, tab)
You see there are so many perfectly good unknown mime types that could
be shown right there in Firefox, but we are not currently allowed that
simple choice to do so!
Furthermore, also add
o open as a (x)HTML file in the (current, other) (window, tab)

Version: 115.12.0esr-1+rm
src:iceweasel has been superseded by src:firefox-esr in version
45.0esr-1 in March 2016. Transitional packages to ease upgrades were
provided in the wheezy, jessie, stretch and buster releases. The
transitional packages have been removed finally before the bullseye
release in August 2021.
After regular security support for buster ended in August 2022 and LTS
support ended in June 2024, I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.
