I request a new feature for debian Iceseasel, the idea is that Iceweasel to
install plugins as flashplayer, java plugin etc from packages available in
repositories and not downloading directly
the binaries from its web site.
When a web page warn about a missing plugin needed to show it right, A list
with the related plugins available in repositories should be presented, and the
user could choose one of them to be
installed, then using gnome-app-install or something similar, the debian
package should be downloaded and installed.
Ubuntu 8.04 already has this feature with Firefox 3b5, i suggest port it to
Debian and Iceweasel 3.

Version: 115.12.0esr-1+rm
src:iceweasel has been superseded by src:firefox-esr in version
45.0esr-1 in March 2016. Transitional packages to ease upgrades were
provided in the wheezy, jessie, stretch and buster releases. The
transitional packages have been removed finally before the bullseye
release in August 2021.
After regular security support for buster ended in August 2022 and LTS
support ended in June 2024, I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.
