Package: plocate
Version: 1.1.23-1
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]

When installing plocate together with incus, which might use /var/lib/incus as
storage backend, plocate might start looking into all the files in the
container file system, which would cause noise in the locate database (and
potentially create a very large database).

This could simply be achieved by appending /var/lib/incus to PRUNEPATHS.

Hi,

plocate cannot add PRUNEPATHS for everything that someone might want to
exclude; if it's a separate file system type, we could probably consider
it, but as it stands, I'm going to close this as wontfix. Even more so
since for every exclusion I have, I tend to get complaints why plocate
doesn't find stuff in there :-)
