Package: neovim
Version: 0.10.4-8
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Now that version 0.11 of neovim has entered the testing/forky
distribution, would you consider creating a package for it in
trixie-backports?

I plan to use stable/trixie for pretty much the next 2 years, but
already some plugins I use (copilot at the moment) expect neovim
to be version 0.11 and no longer support 0.10.

It would be awesome if I could install the newer neovim on Debian
stable without worrying about library incompatibility that can
come with pulling in packages from the testing distribution.

Thanks for your consideration.

Jim.

I won't be doing it, but others are welcome to. I'll just warn that it's
complicated by the requirement of tree-sitter, which means backporting a
lot of rust packages.

Cheers,
