I recently went to the about-me section and used a picture of me. This
caused all instances where my username is displayed to be accompanied by
the picture (e.g. login, lock, etc).
I decided not to use a picture anymore so I went back to about-me and
chose the 'no photo' alternative. Now when I lock my screen I see no
picture besides my username, but gdm3 on the startup login screen did
not go back to the no-picture default it had before.
This is minor, but a bit annnoying
