Hello,
I have just reported #889912, and the same would apply for Firefox.
To complicate matters, the browser integration plugin for firefox is
packaged right with gnome-shell, making it rather hard to remove from
the system:
$ dpkg -S /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libgnome-shell-browser-plugin.so
gnome-shell: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libgnome-shell-browser-plugin.so
At least Firefox can be configured to disable the plugin in
about:addons, but that needs to be done for each user.
I really would like a way to not have that plugin in my system, so that
it cannot be accidentally enabled, or at least to have it deactivated
by default.
