Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.30.1-1
Severity: important
gnome-power-manager is setup to put my laptop to 'sleep' after 10
minutes. However, it is never activated - the machine does not
hibernate and the display is not turned off.
Hibernate and suspend work fine when trigged from System > Shutdown.
And gnome-power-manager will hibernate the machine when the battery is
low. I suppose it is not detecting that the machine is idle. There may
not be a relation, but I am using gnome-screensaver and it can detect
when the machine is idle and start the screensaver (after one minute).
I was running power manager inhibit applet when I took the logs below,
but it is not enabled - so sleep is enabled. I get the same behaviour
from gpm with or without the applet.
Here is tail of the output of gnome-power-manager --verbose
http://pastebin.com/kNN5ZdAB
Ouput of "for i in /sys/class/power_supply/*/*; do echo $i; cat $i;
done" is here: http://pastebin.com/Fd6txzi3
gconftool-2 -R /apps/gnome-power-manager http://pastebin.com/2bmfZ07E
The machine is a Lenovo T61.
