Package: gnome-settings-daemon
Version: 2.26.1-2
Severity: normal
Hi,
I'm using Debian testing.
Yesterday I made a apt-get dist-upgrade that has upgraded
gnome-session/gnome-settings-daemon to 2.26.x version (previously I was in
2.22.x).
I use a .xsession script looking like:
gnome-settings-daemon &
cairo-dock &
conky &
metacity
To launch only metacity (not the whole gnome environment).
Before the yesterday upgrade, it worked like a charm but just after the
upgrade, gnome-setting-daemon doesn't display any wallpaper. The window and
icons look and feel is still here but no more wallpaper.
I tried using another wallpaper, same issue.
I tried using gnome (login on gdm using gnome session) and it works, I got the
wallpaper.
So it seems that the problem is only when using gnome-settings-daemon outside
gnome (without gnome-session).
I took a look inside gconf but I haven't found any properties around wallpaper.
Please, could you renable the support of wallpaper in gnome-settings-daemon
outside gnome ?
Is there any workaround by tuning gconf ?
Thanks,
Regards
JB
