I've sent a PR to cleanse upstream plugin repository of undeclared "six" usage.
https://github.com/mate-desktop/pluma/pull/721
I know update of plugins are not tightly bound to update of their main program,
because these happens outside of apt.
So please consider alligning to the current habbit for non-mandatory,
non-packaged plugins and make python3-six a Recommends: instead.
