I am not able to reproduce this bug in 19.01.2-1 which is part of the
latest Debian Stable release (Buster 10). Since the OP has not
responded in the last three years, I suggest to close this bug.
I cannot reproduce the issue either with wxmaxima 20.06.1,
so I am closing the bugreport.
