Package: pgaccess
Version: 1:0.98.8.20030117-1
Severity: important

Hi,

when I try to open any data base on my system pgaccess throws the following
error message:

PostgreSQL error message:Connection to database failed
ERROR: Conversion between UNICODE and MULE_INTERNAL is not supported

Consulting the help screen it seems to me that the relevant item of the possible
reasons might be the following:

  3. If it's a UNICODE error, you will need to recompile PostgreSQL from
source.
Some linux distros include a buggy libpgtcl.so that needs replacing.

I think I'm able to exclude the other choices of the help screen.

Kind regards

         Andreas.
